Q.    Ross, I have a 500 watt amplifier and I need more volume. Should I buy this 1000 watt amplifier I have found?

A.    Speakers rule...don't buy a big power amp!

We believe speaker box efficiency is the most important and often overlooked area in most PA systems. A 1000 watt amplifier is only about 3 db louder than a 500 watt amplifier, NOT twice as loud! This increase in power can be noticed, but not greatly. If you were to keep your 500 watt amplifier and improve the efficiency of the speaker boxes (ie W-Bin 18's as opposed to front mount 18' boxes) then you would notice a difference.
